We manufacture all of our CULPEPER FENCE PANELS in-house in a variety of styles. They are built to last and available in both Southern Yellow Pine or Western Red Cedar.

This fence panel is made from 1×6×6 Appearance Grade fence boards that are fastened with ring shanked nails to 2×3×8 back rails. Panels consist of 17 boards with 3 back rails.

This fence panel is made from heavy duty 3/4x3x6 #1 grade spruce fence boards that are double nailed to 2x3x8 spruce back rails. Panels consist of 36 boards with 3 back rails. We also stock this panel in untreated (natural). The natural panel is single nailed to 2x3x8 spruce back rails and consist of 36 boards with 3 back rails.

Western Red Cedar Gothic
Our 1x Western Red Cedar is #2 & Better, no hole/no prior select grade. This grade allows for primarily sound tight knots that are uniform in size. Wane and unsound knots are highly restricted. The actual size is ¾” thick and the finish is S1S2E (smooth one side, two edges).
Our 2x Western Red Cedar is Standard & Better grade. This grade allows for no holes and very limited heart centers. Wane and loose knots are highly restricted and the finish is S4S (smooth four sides).

West Virginia Split Rail™ fence is an eye-catching classic ranch-style fence that adds a rustic charm to any property. Posts are made of Southern Yellow Pine, which has been proven to be highly receptive to the pressure-treating process, which allows for them to be treated for ground contact. The rails are pressure treated for above-ground contact. The pressure-treating process forces the preservatives into the wood fibers, altering the characteristics of the wood so that it is highly resistant to rot, fungal decay, and insect infestation, thus increasing its life span.

CULPEPER ROUND POSTS are carefully milled and graded visually to have less bark and fewer blemishes. After milling, our posts are allowed to “season” until dry. Once the post is dry, it is treated with MCA or CCA for “in ground” use. Culpeper posts are sturdy Southern Yellow Pine.
